FAQ

What does Core-Lokt mean?
Core-Lokt is Remington’s soft point design. The jacket is locked to the lead core so the bullet stays together as it expands.

Will a 30-30 kill a bear?
Yes, at close range with a heavy bullet. A 170-grain soft point is a common black bear load for lever guns over bait or in timber.

Is 30-30 ammo hard to find?
Common loads like Core-Lokt are usually among the easiest 30-30 rounds to find. Premium and lead-free loads sell out faster.

Is Remington Core-Lokt 30-30 brass reloadable?
Yes. The cases are brass with non-corrosive Boxer primers and are listed as reloadable. Keep your fired Core-Lokt brass together by lot for later use.
