Best Uses

Use the 40 grain rounds for drills, plinking and general training in your pistol or carbine. Save the 62 grain subsonic rounds for suppressed shooting, where a slower bullet cuts the crack. Keep the two loads in separate, labeled magazines. They will hit at different points, so check your zero with each. A 400-round pack covers a long class or several range days. FMJ does not expand, so keep this Fiocchi 5.7×28 subsonic combo pack for training and pick a hollow point for defense.

FAQ

What suppressor works for 5.7×28?
Most 22-caliber and many 5.56-rated rifle suppressors can be used on 5.7×28 hosts. Check the can maker’s caliber rating and your host’s thread pitch before you mount one.

Is 5.7×28 subsonic ammo quiet?
Subsonic 5.7×28 is much quieter than standard loads when fired through a suppressor, because it avoids the sonic crack. Without a suppressor it is still loud.

What comes in the Fiocchi 57COMSUB combo pack?
The pack holds 300 rounds of 40 grain FMJ and 100 rounds of 62 grain subsonic FMJ, for 400 rounds total, all in brass cases.

Is 5.7×28 good for training?
Yes. It has light recoil and runs in pistols like the FN Five-seveN and carbines like the PS90. FMJ loads like these are made for range work.
