CCI Clean 22 High Velocity 22LR 40 Grain Round Nose – 100 Rounds

CCI Clean 22 High Velocity uses a 40-grain lead round nose with a polymer coating. CCI lists 1,235 fps and 135 ft-lb, so it is supersonic. The coating helps cut lead fouling in the bore and action. It uses brass cases with non-corrosive priming. This listing is a 100-round box, a good size to try the load before you buy more.

Best Uses

CCI Clean 22 High Velocity is a range and plinking load for shooters who want less cleaning. The high-velocity charge cycles most semi-autos, and the coated bullet leaves less lead in the action. Use it on paper, steel and cans at short range, and for general rimfire practice. The colored bullets are easy to spot in a mixed bag. If it runs well in your gun, the 400-round Realtree pack offers the same load in a larger size. It is a round nose, so use a hollow point when you hunt.

FAQ

Is CCI Clean 22 good for semi-autos?
The high-velocity version is listed at 1,235 fps, which gives most semi-autos a firm push to cycle. Test a box in your gun first.

Why are CCI Clean 22 bullets colored?
The color comes from the polymer coating over the lead bullet. It helps cut lead fouling and makes the ammo easy to spot.

Is CCI Clean 22 lead free?
No. The core is lead. The polymer coating covers it to reduce fouling, but it is not a lead-free load.

Can you buy 22 ammo at 18?
Federal law lets licensed dealers sell rifle ammo to buyers 18 and up, but handgun ammo only to buyers 21 and up. Since .22 LR fits both rifles and pistols, many dealers and some states use the 21 rule. Check your state before you order.
